Suspense presents “A Murderous Revision,” originally broadcast December 3, 1951. This local archival recording is identified as episode 3; established broadcast listings also identify the program as episode 450. Richard Widmark stars in this tale adapted by David Ellis from a story by S. Lee Pogostin.
Chris Turner writes for the radio mystery series Murder, Please, but growing resentment over producer Ken Avery’s rewrites pushes their professional conflict into dangerous territory. Set in the pressured backstage world of a 1950s network thriller, the drama explores authorship, control, and the uneasy line between writing murder and facing it.
Suspense presents the original broadcast with a newly produced contextual introduction, a short closing announcement, and gently cleaned/mastered audio for a more consistent listening experience.
