The Shadow presents “The Hospital Murders,” originally broadcast August 14, 1938. This is episode 133 of the series, starring Orson Welles as Lamont Cranston/The Shadow and Margot Stevenson as Margo Lane.
While visiting Cairo, Cranston and Margo investigate a troubling pattern of patients vanishing from Cairo General Hospital. Written by Arch Oboler, this surviving B.F. Goodrich summer-series installment leads them into the hospital’s most unsettling secrets.
The Shadow presents the original broadcast with a newly produced contextual introduction, a short closing announcement, and gently cleaned/mastered audio for a more consistent listening experience.
