The Slaton family dynamic reached a breaking point in
1000-lb Sisters Season 9, Episode 7, balancing major personal milestones with an all-out sibling feud that split the household in two. Amy Slaton tackled major steps in her health journey, starting with a frustrating vision screening at the DMV before heading into a long-anticipated skin-removal consultation. Stepping on the scale at an impressive 190 pounds, Amy celebrated real progress, but the appointment came with sobering caveats: her surgeon delivered strict requirements, explaining she must lose an additional 20 pounds and quit smoking entirely before qualifying for surgery. Shifting her focus from health to lifelong career ambitions, Amy packed her bags for Nashville to sit down with music executives and pitch her original songs.
Meanwhile, wedding planning brought tension to the surface for Tammy and Andrea. After hitting stressful snags locking down their dream wedding venue, Tammy's frustration boiled over into family planning. Digging in her heels, Tammy demanded that the older siblings be excluded from the upcoming Nashville road trip. That boundary sparked an explosive, screaming blowout with Amanda, creating deep family fractures and leaving the sisters locked in a bitter silent treatment. With Chris and Brittany turning to marriage counseling to work through communication hurdles, and headlines swirling around Amy’s recent legal troubles and bizarre Tennessee camel encounter, this episode proved that growing pains across the Slaton family are far from over.
