Frontier Gentleman presents “The Last of Belle Siddon,” originally broadcast on CBS on September 7, 1958. Episode 31 of the series, this installment concludes the four-part Belle Siddons storyline. John Dehner stars as London Times correspondent J. B. Kendall, with Jeanne Bates as Belle Siddons and Jack Kruschen as Deadwood peace officer Boon May.
In Dakota Territory, Kendall follows the uneasy trail left after a stagecoach robbery, as outlaw Archie McLaughlin flees toward Cheyenne and Boon May pursues answers surrounding Belle Siddons. Written, produced, and directed by Antony Ellis, the drama combines a newspaperman’s perspective with a tense frontier manhunt.
Old Time Western Radio presents the original broadcast with a newly produced contextual introduction, a short closing announcement, and gently cleaned/mastered audio for a more consistent listening experience.
