Frontier Gentleman presents “The Lost Mine,” originally broadcast on CBS on March 2, 1958. In this fifth episode, John Dehner stars as London Times correspondent J. B. Kendall.
In Montana Territory, Kendall visits the Fort Benton Dispatch in search of a story about the region’s gold fever. There he meets Shorthorn Tom, an aging prospector with a tale of a rich strike, a gold nugget to support it, and a need for backing to find the mine again. Joseph Kearns co-stars as Shorthorn Tom in this Antony Ellis-written and directed adventure.
Old Time Western Radio presents the original broadcast with a newly produced contextual introduction, a short closing announcement, and gently cleaned/mastered audio for a more consistent listening experience.
