Gunsmoke, “Target” (AFRTS), originally broadcast June 22, 1958, is episode 324 of the classic CBS Radio Network western. William Conrad stars as Marshal Matt Dillon in this Les Crutchfield script, produced and directed by Norman Macdonnell.
Tensions rise near Dodge City when a traveling Gypsy camp settles on ranchland and a young rancher’s son falls for one of the camp’s girls. With opposition building on both sides, Dillon must navigate a troubled frontier dispute before it turns dangerous.
Old Time Western Radio presents the original broadcast with a newly produced contextual introduction, a short closing announcement, and gently cleaned/mastered audio for a more consistent listening experience.
