The Devil and Mr. O presents “House Is Haunted,” episode 16, originally broadcast December 31, 1971. This syndicated revival installment repackages Arch Oboler’s earlier Lights Out! drama “Mungahra.”
Far from any haunted house, the story follows a fortune hunter and his local guide in the remote Australian outback, where a valuable diamond brings greed, suspicion, and the threat of vengeance to an isolated expedition. Written, produced, and directed by Arch Oboler, the drama features Elliott Lewis, with a brief appearance by Cathy Lewis.
Old Time Horror Radio presents the original broadcast with a newly produced contextual introduction, a short closing announcement, and gently cleaned/mastered audio for a more consistent listening experience.
