Dark Fantasy presents “W Is for Werewolf,” episode 13, originally broadcast on February 13, 1942. Written by Scott Bishop, the pseudonym of George Marion Hamaker, and produced and directed by John I. Prosser, this NBC Red Network thriller originated from WKY in Oklahoma City—appropriately, on a Friday the 13th.
Jim Howard, his wife Angela, and their child travel to Cape Howe to visit Jim’s old friend Bill Andrews at his isolated island cabin. But Bill’s troubled son, unsettling books on lycanthropy, a protective charm, and disturbing sounds in the night soon cast a shadow over the visit. Ben Morris, Garland Moss, and Eleanor Naylor Caughron star.
Old Time Horror Radio presents the original broadcast with a newly produced contextual introduction, a short closing announcement, and gently cleaned/mastered audio for a more consistent listening experience.
