Dark Fantasy presents “Death Is a Savage Deity,” originally broadcast on NBC on January 30, 1942. Identified in surviving reference listings as episode 11, this supernatural thriller was written by Scott Bishop and originated from WKY in Oklahoma City.
In a wealthy household shadowed by mounting calamities, Delores grows increasingly alarmed for her fiancé, Jim Harvey, and those around her. With ominous warnings from her formidable Aunt Wanna, the concern of maid Alma, and disturbing hints of a long-buried family past tied to Haitian occult practices, the menace seems to close in on the mansion, its conservatory, and its dark lily pond.
Old Time Horror Radio presents the original broadcast with a newly produced contextual introduction, a short closing announcement, and gently cleaned/mastered audio for a more consistent listening experience.
