Episode 1 - "The Freshman" at 100! with Suzanne Lloyd — The Man In The Glasses: The Harold Lloyd Podcast

We begin our celebration of the 100th anniversary of Harold Lloyd's "The Freshman" with a fascinating conversation with Harold's granddaughter Suzanne Lloyd!

We're talking all about the origins, release and reception of the world's first football comedy and #8 on ESPN's list of Greatest Sports Movies Ever Made. It's the film no one wanted Harold to make, but it became a phenomenon that launched two genres: the "college film" and the modern sports movie.

Suzanne has amazing personal stories growing up with Harold & Mildred, behind-the-scenes details of the making of "The Freshman" and its unofficial sequel "The Sin of Harold Diddlebock," and her lifelong role preserving and championing "Dad's" works of art.

Plus: Howard Hughes, Frances Marion, and traveling with King Vidor and Colleen Moore!
