New York Governor Kathy Hochul has appointed Attorney General Letitia James to investigate the reopened case pf alleged gang rape at Cornell University in 2024. According to reports, Tompkins County Attorney Mathew Van Houten's original investigation into the allegations relied on a report provided by Cornell police, which left out part of the victim's, Jane Doe, interview with investigators where she said she was raped. The woman originally reported the alleged assault to campus police in November of 2024 and now filed a civil lawsuit last month.
FOX’s Eben Brown speaks with FOX's Eric Shawn, senior correspondent based in New York, who breaks down the original allegations and why it has been reopened.
