The Ocean vs. Ne Obliviscaris: Solaris, How We Survive & Band Reinvention

Robin Staps of The Ocean alongside Tim Charles of Ne Obliviscaris join us to discuss The Ocean's epic new album Solaris, how the early days in underground Berlin shaped the band, and what's happening behind the scenes as Ne Obliviscaris prepare their first record with new co-vocalist James Dorton.

Over two decades, both bands have built undeniably devout followings across the globe. Here they compare notes on band survival, what happens when fans show material support, and share their takes on divisive vocals, the cutting room floor and major lineup changes. It made sense to bring them together and see the parallels between two bands that have never painted inside the lines.
