William Goldsmith (Assertion, Sunny Day Real Estate, Foo Fighters) On Quitting Music & Finding His Best Band

Iconic drummer William Goldsmith (Sunny Day Real Estate, Foo Fighters, Assertion) opens up about the years he quit music entirely; and the journey back to falling in love with drumming. From the birth of emo to the exhaustion of early Foo Fighters fame, Goldsmith reflects on artistry, anxiety, and fatherhood with raw honesty. He dives into Assertion's new album Basking in the Gaslight, the story behind his nine-year silence, and why he still plays to document the human experience.
