Exploring Koishikawa Korakuen

東京には、有名な庭園が9つあります。

8月末に、東京ドームの近くにある小石川後楽園に行きました。

江戸時代に作られた庭園で、琵琶湖、円月橋、西湖の堤など、

日本や中国にある、有名な場所を真似して作られたものが

たくさんあるのが特徴です。

季節ごとに色々な花が見られるそうなので、

次は彼岸花の時期に行ってみようと思います。

とうきょうには、ゆうめいな ていえんが ここのつ あります。

はちがつまつに、とうきょうどーむの ちかくに ある

こいしかわこうらくえんに いきました。

えどじだいに つくられた ていえんで、びわこ、えんげつきょう、

せいこの つつみなど、にほんや ちゅうごくに ある ゆうめいな

ばしょを まねして つくられた ものが たくさん あるのが とくちょうです。

きせつごとに いろいろな はなが みられるそうなので、

つぎは ひがんばなの じきに いってみようと おもいます。

There are nine famous traditional gardens in Tokyo.

At the end of August, I visited Koishikawa Korakuen,

near Tokyo Dome.

The garden was created during the Edo period (1868~),

and one of its unique features is that it contains

many landscapes inspired by famous places in Japan

and China, such as Lake Biwa, Engetsu Bridge,

and the Seiko Embankment.

Apparently, you can see different flowers in each season,

so I’m thinking of going back when the red spider lilies are in bloom.
