This episode of "JohnChat" (Episode 60) introduces the "Youth Overseas Dream Fund" launched by the Ministry of Education's Youth Development Administration to enhance the international competitiveness and creativity of Taiwanese youth aged 15 to 30.
The host highlights two specific programs under the "Overseas Seedling" category, which provides pre-planned project frameworks for eligible participants to join. The first program, "Accessible Journey: Camino de Santiago Dream-Building Program (J-S-62)," is designed for high school students aged 15 to 18 and involves a 17-day trip to Spain in July to walk the final 100 kilometers of the pilgrimage and visit accessibility institutions, with approximately 500,000 TWD invested per person. The second program, "Sports Equality Dream (I-8-15)," is for youth aged 18 to 30 and features a trip to Hawaii in October to observe the IRONMAN World Championship and exchange ideas on accessible sports, supported by a 510,000 TWD subsidy. Both programs emphasize social inclusion by reserving specific spots for youth with various disabilities, their siblings, and those dedicated to disability rights. Because the application deadline is in April and requires significant preparation, the host urges interested listeners to apply as soon as possible via the official program website.
