Following the massive box office success of A24's horror film Backrooms, lead actor Chiwetel Ejiofor recently addressed the possibility of his character making a comeback in the upcoming sequel. In the original movie, Ejiofor plays an architect named Clark who meets a brutal end after being attacked by Pirate Clark, a bizarre alternate persona embodying his inner demons. Although the actor feels that Clark's primary arc has reached a definitive conclusion, he remains open-minded about the future because the supernatural nature of the liminal space setting leaves room for infinite narrative possibilities. Ultimately, whether Clark reappears will rely entirely on director Kane Parsons and the creative direction chosen for Backrooms 2.
