Did you know that Nazis helped build NASA? In this immersive episode of
Unexplained History, we peel back the paperclips to reveal a moral labyrinth that changed the course of human progress. We step into the quiet reading rooms of the National Archives to uncover a 1946 State Department memorandum that served as a gateway for over 1,000 German scientists to enter the U.S.—men like
Wernher von Braun and
Arthur Rudolph.
Explore the haunting corridors of the
Mittelwerk underground factory, where V2 rockets were forged through the brutal forced labor of tens of thousands. We investigate the "Dossier Machine," where security reports were allegedly revised to soften Nazi affiliations in favor of technical talent. Join us as we navigate the post-war haste where alliances shifted, knowledge became the ultimate prize, and the lines between necessity and complicity blurred.
