Although property fraud has become a growing concern nationwide, Kendra explains that the alert system is designed to notify residents whenever a document is recorded in their name. She also clears up common misconceptions about the program, including why receiving an alert doesn't necessarily mean fraud has occurred and why the Recorder's Office cannot stop legal documents from being recorded.
