When Did "Natural" Become a Trend?

Quick disclaimer before the comments come for me again. This isn't me hating on anybody. Filler, veneers, whatever makes you feel like your best self? Do your thing, I'm here for it. I'm just genuinely curious about one thing.

I've been in this industry 30 years, and lately I can't stop noticing it. Everybody's starting to look… the same.

Same injector, same surgeon, same everything. So I put on an old movie this weekend and it hit me. Those people just looked like themselves. And it got me wondering when that changed.

When did natural become something we get work done to achieve? Don't we start out natural?

I don't have the full answer yet. That's Wednesday. But I want to know if you feel it too, or if it's just me. Hear me out and let me know below. — Kim
