On today’s show we learn about the Vallarta Pine, a critically endangered conifer native to the state of Jalisco, in western Mexico, near Puerto Vallarta a few miles inland from Banderas Bay on the Pacific Ocean. Its scientific name is Pinus vallartensis and it was first described in 2017.
