1987 finden zwei Männer in der brasilianischen Stadt Goiânia ein verlassenes medizinisches Gerät und nehmen es mit. Was zunächst wie Schrott aussieht, setzt danach eine unsichtbare Gefahr frei, von der 2 tragische Wochen lang leider niemand etwas weiß.
