In this episode, I examine why impressive claims such as “annual sales of 30 million yen” or “a business generating 100 million yen a year” can be misleading. Revenue shows the size of a business, but it does not reveal how much money is actually earned after materials, rent, salaries, taxes, and other expenses. Using examples from restaurants, manufacturing, and the film Wall Street, I explain the difference between sales, profit, and after-tax income. The key lesson is simple: numbers may be accurate, but the way they are presented can still shape a false impression.
