In this episode, I question the popular phrase "intellectual curiosity" and explore how its meaning is often distorted in the business world. Genuine curiosity comes from an inner desire to understand something for its own sake, without concern for profit, status, or recognition. By contrast, many companies use the term to describe practical information gathering for career success. I discuss why these are fundamentally different motivations and why true passion often appears as obsession or specialization rather than broad, balanced knowledge. Authentic curiosity begins within, not from external expectations.
