Social media has made comparison easier than ever, turning even ordinary life, loneliness, and failure into marketable content. But could AI eventually offer another possibility? Instead of making humans more productive and competitive, perhaps technology could create a society where people no longer need to justify their existence through work, status, or achievement—a world where becoming “someone” is a choice, not an obligation.
