Two Florida teenagers, Isabelle Valdez and Lois Liippard, were arrested and charged with attempted first-degree murder after plotting to kill a classmate at Lake Brantley High School. Investigators revealed that Valdez was obsessed with mass shooters, specifically the perpetrator of the Sandy Hook Elementary School tragedy, and believed killing her peer would create a blood bond to resurrect the killer. Liippard allegedly assisted the plot by sharpening weapons, providing supplies, and communicating with online contacts. Following their arrest, both suspects displayed a nonchalant and joking attitude while being transported to jail in a police cruiser. Several months later, Valdez penned a handwritten letter to the judge blaming her actions on severe bullying, childhood trauma, and online radicalization within the true crime community. Legal proceedings are ongoing as the court evaluates the defendants' mental states, potential for rehabilitation, and the sincerity of their remorse.
