Nineteen-year-old Jessica O'Grady vanished after visiting her co-worker and secret romantic partner, Chris Edwards, at his basement apartment. Investigators eventually uncovered extensive forensic evidence, including massive bloodstains and DNA matching O'Grady on both a mattress and a pair of battle swords hidden in the residence. Although Edwards attempted to conceal the crime by painting over the walls and abandoning O'Grady's car, he was ultimately convicted of second-degree murder in a landmark trial. Despite the lack of a recovered body, prosecutors successfully secured a guilty verdict, sentencing Edwards to a lengthy prison term while her family continues to search for her remains.
