In late 2022, twenty-two-year-old Jasmine Pace met a man named Jason Chen through a dating application, which ultimately led to her tragic disappearance in Chattanooga, Tennessee. After Jasmine failed to show up for Thanksgiving, her family and friends became deeply suspicious of unusual text messages and social media posts sent from her account. Utilizing digital tracking technology, her mother located Jasmine's car, while subsequent police investigations at Chen's apartment uncovered extensive blood evidence and cleaning supplies. Authorities eventually tracked down and arrested Chen, using surveillance footage and cell phone data to locate Jasmine's remains inside a rolling suitcase where she had suffered numerous stab wounds. As the legal proceedings advanced, additional revelations emerged regarding Chen's history of online impersonation and suspicious behavior prior to the murder.
