Brenda Delgado, consumed by intense jealousy over her ex-boyfriend's new relationship with a prominent Dallas pediatric dentist named Kendra Hatcher, orchestrated a calculated murder-for-hire plot in September 2015. After approaching multiple acquaintances who refused the job, Delgado successfully enlisted Crystal Cortez to drive the getaway vehicle and Christopher Love to shoot the victim at close range in an apartment parking garage. Following the assassination, Delgado fled to Mexico, but international law enforcement tracked her down and secured her extradition after prosecutors agreed to take the death penalty off the table. Ultimately, all three conspirators faced severe legal consequences, with Delgado receiving life imprisonment without parole, Love sentenced to death, and Cortez given a 35-year prison sentence following her cooperation with authorities.
