September 2: ST. INGRID OF SKÄNNINGE: Every Step a Prayer

St. Ingrid of Skänninge turned her grief as a young widow into pilgrimages all the way to Jerusalem and Rome.

Widowed young, the Swedish noblewoman Ingrid began gathering with other women to pray, then set out walking — first to Santiago de Compostela, then to the Holy Land itself, then to Rome — offering every hard mile to God. When she came home to Skänninge, she turned that same devotion into a Dominican convent built entirely around a shared life of prayer.

"Holiness isn't something you find alone in a corner — it's something you walk toward, often side by side with others."

Ingrid's challenge doesn't have to end when the episode does. Our free Family Pack has a saint calendar, feast-day activity pages, and family discussion questions to keep it going at home — free when you subscribe: https://shop.catholicsprouts.com/pages/every-days-a-feast-day-follow-along
