September 26: STS. COSMAS AND DAMIAN: Twin Brothers, Physicians for Christ

Twin brothers Sts. Cosmas and Damian healed the sick across the Roman Empire — and never once asked for payment.

Trained physicians who believed their medical skill was a gift from God, Cosmas and Damian treated rich and poor alike for free, and their generosity drew many toward Christ. When Emperor Diocletian's persecution reached them, both brothers and their three siblings were martyred together for refusing to deny their faith.

"Physicians who healed for free, out of pure love rather than profit."

Cosmas and Damian's challenge doesn't have to end when the episode does. Our free Family Pack has a saint calendar, feast-day activity pages, and family discussion questions to keep it going at home — free when you subscribe: https://shop.catholicsprouts.com/pages/every-days-a-feast-day-follow-along
