Bloomberg reported that Anthropic surpassed a $65 billion annualized revenue run rate ahead of a planned IPO. Anthropic, founded by CEO Dario Amodei and President Daniela Amodei, sells access to Claude models via APIs, enterprise products, and cloud marketplaces. The company partners with Amazon and Google, with Amazon committing up to $4 billion and Google providing about $2 billion in financing reported in late 2023. The run rate metric can include usage-based contracts, commitments, and prepayments, and does not disclose margins or revenue concentration. Cloud providers such as AWS and Google Cloud are positioned to benefit through compute consumption and bundled services. Enterprise buyers are shifting to negotiated volume tiers, reserved capacity, and cost controls while comparing embedded AI features to direct API use. If Anthropic files an S-1, disclosures on revenue mix, cloud commitments, and gross margins will shape investor expectations.
