Odd Egg: Weird Experiences Turn Grotesque in Spooky Season Body Horror

Eleven eggs are empty. The twelfth hatches a tiny human head on six spiderlike legs. In Odd Egg by Alex Grass, Maryellen accepts a free carton from a smiling stranger who claims a god lives inside it. Breakfast becomes a creature-horror nightmare as the thing grows, feeds, and changes, pulling her toward the mysterious Time of the Egg. This Weekly Spooky debut blends grotesque body horror with dark comedy and a gift that should never have been opened.
