He Lost His Military Identity… Until God Gave Him a New One — The Valiant Forge

Send us Fan Mail

When former Army officer Nick Filoni hung up his uniform after 13 years of service, he thought he’d lost everything that defined him — courage, purpose, even identity. But what looked like the end of a mission became the beginning of a new one.

In this powerful conversation, Nick opens up about:

Losing his sense of purpose after leaving the military
The prayer that changed everything and brought his family to faith
How men can rebuild identity around Christ instead of career
The difference between isolation and solitude
Practical steps to live out your God-given purpose

This episode is a call to every man who’s ever asked, “Who am I without the title?”
You’re not lost — you’re being redefined.
