The Guitar Man featuring Matty Davis

PodcastNV sits down with singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Matty Davis to catch up with him since our last chat TWO YEARS ago - and learn more about the making of his debut release “Edge of a Hurricane,”. From open mic nights in Ocean City, Maryland to decades of playing in and around Manassas, Virginia, Matty shares how his songs come together, the sounds he hears in his head, and the people who helped bring this record to life. In this episode, we dig into:

• The story behind “Edge of a Hurricane” and how it finally came to life after years of writing and gigging

• Crafting arrangements with pedal steel, harmonies, and layered guitars that blend rock, Americana, and country flavors

• We challenge Matt with the SAME NAME and THIS OR THAT games

If you’re into indie Americana, thoughtful songwriting, basement studio magic, and real stories from working musicians, you’ll feel right at home with this conversation.
