I Watched 'Hoppers' and 'Reminders of Him' So You Don’t Have To

It’s Oscars night, so this week we’re staying firmly in the movie world. I break down two very different new releases I watched this week: Pixar’s surprisingly successful animated film Hoppers and the latest Colleen Hoover adaptation Reminders of Him.

First, we talk about why Hoppers might signal Pixar finding its momentum again — from its strong box office debut to its environmental themes, its clear Avatar-inspired premise, and where it sits in the wider Pixar catalogue. Then we switch gears into a much messier conversation about Reminders of Him: questionable character decisions, chaotic morality, casting choices, and why the film ultimately feels flatter than the emotional drama it’s trying to be.

Plus, I wrap things up with Songs of the Week, featuring new music from Lena, Mitski, Dorian Electra, and more.
