MURDERED: Christine McGowan | Apopka, FL 1990

Apopka, Florida. A child's bedroom stained with blood tells a brutal tale of innocence lost.

Christine McGowan, a bright and playful 10-year-old, filled her home with laughter. Her world revolved around school projects and hopscotch on sunlit sidewalks.

On October 30, 1990, her stepfather discovered the unimaginable. Christine lay lifeless, her sheets soaked in tragedy. An ajar door whispered of an intruder, a man wearing construction boots—a figure caught shadowed in neighborhood whispers.

Investigators soon unraveled a chilling picture, pulling threads of evidence from the eerily quiet streets of Apopka. A confession would follow, a harrowing tale from the accused detailing the brutal end of Christine's young life.

The trial, filled with heart-stopping testimony, laid bare the depths of human cruelty. Ultimately, justice was served, but the hollow echo of Christine's absence remains.

This episode features interrogation footage and court recordings. Listener discretion advised.
