Story Transcript:

En: Autumn had reached Vilsandi National Park, bringing with it the cool air and migratory birds resting high in the sky.

Et: Eero, noor poiss, kelle süda kuulus loodusele, seisis pargi serval, silmad suunatud üles.
En: Eero, a young boy whose heart belonged to nature, stood at the edge of the park, his eyes directed upwards.

En: In his pocket was a small notebook full of drawings and notes—his nature journal.

En: Eero had always had a deep passion for birds.

En: His favorite subject was the barn swallow, a rare migratory bird that he had heard about from his grandfather.

En: The school year had begun, but Eero's thoughts still wandered to the forest and coastal meadows.

En: He knew his parents wanted him to focus more on his studies.

Et: Samuti ootas ees oluline kooliprojekt, kuid süda keelas tal linnuvaatlemist maha jätta.
En: An important school project also loomed ahead, but his heart forbade him from abandoning birdwatching.

En: One day, when Liisa and Mikko, Eero's best friends, invited him to a study group, Eero shook his head.

En: "I must watch the birds," he said in a quiet but firm voice.

En: "Then you will surely find something special," she said encouragingly.

Et: Kuid Mikko kehitas õlgu.
En: But Mikko shrugged.

Et: "Õppimine on samuti tähtis."
En: "Studying is important as well."

Et: Eero tegi valiku.
En: Eero made a choice.

En: He went to his favorite viewing spot in the park early in the morning.

En: The morning was crisp, and the grass sparkled with dew.

En: There he stood atop a rock rising high above the ground, binoculars in hand, so that his attention wouldn't waver.

En: Suddenly, what he had been waiting for happened—a barn swallow appeared in his field of view!

Et: Süda hakkas kiiremini lööma.
En: His heart began to beat faster.

En: He immediately took out his journal and began sketching quickly.

Et: Ent äkitselt hakkas taevas muutuma süngeks.
En: But suddenly, the sky began to turn dark.

Et: Mustad pilved kogunesid ja tuul tõusis.
En: Black clouds gathered, and the wind picked up.

Et: Algamas oli torm.
En: A storm was beginning.

En: Eero had to decide—stay and capture the moment or leave for the safety of shelter.

En: Driven by passionate interest, he wrote a few more quick notes and, with each stroke, made something special on the paper.

En: Finally, when the first raindrops touched his face, Eero felt satisfied.

En: Though a photographer inadvertently, the moment was worth every danger to him.

En: The next day, Eero presented his project at school—about the barn swallow in Vilsandi.

En: The class was thrilled, and the teacher rated his work highly.

En: Eero had found a balance—he followed his heart but did not forget his responsibilities.

En: Nature and study no longer seemed opposing, but rather part of a whole.

En: Finally, Eero stood again at his viewing spot, his gaze directed into the distance.

En: He knew that every season had its charm, and every choice its value.

En: And so, with migra
