Story Transcript:

Fi: Kauas saariston salaisiin maisemiin, auringon suuteloisiin päiviin ja pehmeään merituuleen, luodettiin Aino ja Mikko.
En: Far into the secret landscapes of the archipelago, in days kissed by the sun and the soft sea breeze, ventured Aino and Mikko.

Fi: He majoittuivat pienessä punaisessa mökissä, joka sijaitsi kallioisen rannan kupeessa, metsän siimeksessä.
En: They stayed in a small red cabin located by the rocky shore, nestled in the shelter of the forest.

Fi: Kesä oli kauneimmillaan.
En: The summer was at its most beautiful.

Fi: Keskellä tätä idylliä Aino kuitenkin löysi jotain odottamatonta: vanhan kellastuneen kirjeen.
En: In the midst of this idyll, however, Aino found something unexpected: an old yellowed letter.

Fi: Kirjeen sanat kertoivat aarretta, jostain tämän saaren uumenista.
En: The words of the letter spoke of treasure, somewhere deep within this island.

Fi: "Aarre on piilotettu suuren puun juureen, missä vesi kohtaa metsän," luki paperissa, teksti haparoivasti ja vanhalla käsialalla.
En: "The treasure is hidden at the root of a large tree, where water meets the forest," read the paper, in shaky and old handwriting.

Fi: Aino tunsi seikkailun kipinän rinnassaan.
En: Aino felt the spark of adventure in her chest.

En: She had always been adventurous and curious.

Fi: Mutta samalla hänen mielensä mietti suhdetta Mikkoon, joka tuntui viime aikoina epävarmalta.
En: But at the same time, her mind pondered her relationship with Mikko, which had seemed uncertain lately.

En: Mikko, who enjoyed the still days and quiet evenings, was not enthused by the letter.

En: "Let it rest with the past," he suggested.

Fi: Hän halusi vain nauttia yhteisestä ajasta ilman turhia huolia.
En: He just wanted to enjoy their time together without unnecessary worries.

Fi: Toisin kuitenkin ajatteli Aino.
En: Aino, however, thought differently.

Fi: Hän halusi yrittää.
En: She wanted to try.

Fi: Hän kysyi paikalliselta oppaalta Eerolta, joka näytti aina tietävän kaiken saarista.
En: She asked a local guide, Eero, who always seemed to know everything about the islands.

Fi: Eero, jyhkeä mies, hymyili salaperäisesti ja suostui auttamaan.
En: Eero, a rugged man, smiled mysteriously and agreed to help.

En: Mikko was not entirely convinced by Eero's enthusiasm but also didn't want to argue.

Fi: Kolmikko aloitti etsinnät.
En: The trio began their search.

Fi: Metsä kuiskasi vanhoja salaisuuksiaan ja meren aallot tarinoivat menneistä.
En: The forest whispered its old secrets, and the sea waves told stories of the past.

Fi: Kiviset polut veivät heidät vanhalle venetallille, jossa aika oli pysähtynyt.
En: Stony paths led them to an old boathouse, where time had stood still.

Fi: Täällä, purppuranpunaisen sammaleen peittämällä lattialla, he löysivät vanhan kartan.
En: There, on the floor covered with purple moss, they found an old map.

En: It was part of a puzzle, which Eero had left for them as clues.

En: There was a shadow of spark in Eero's eyes, which wasn't just joyous curiosity.

Fi: Hän oli kenties johdattanut heitä harhaan.
En: He might have been leading them astray.

Fi: Aino katsoi Mikkoa, joka ymmärsi heti.
En: Aino looked at Mikko, who understood immediately.

Fi: He tunsivat samassa hetkessä välillään voiman, jota eivät olleet aikaisemmin huomanneet.
En: In that moment, they felt a strength between them they hadn't noticed before.

En: They had been led astray, but it no longer mattered.

En: It wasn't important whether they found the treasure or not.

Fi: Mikko kietoi kätensä Ainon ympärille ja henkäsi kevyesti, "Ehkä joskus on parempi etsiä rinnakkain eikä rushteasti."
En: Mikko wrapped his arms around Aino and gently exhaled, "Maybe sometimes it's better to search side by side rather than hastily."

En: She now understood that her romantic relationship with Mikko was more important than any treasure.

Fi: Kun aurinko hiljalleen painui horisonttiin, Aino ja Mikko jättivät Eeron ja hänen karttansa.
En: As the sun slowly set on the horizon, Aino and Mikko left Eero and his map.

Fi: He kävelivät takaisin, käsi kädessä, kallioiden yli, meren vaimeaa laulua kuunnellen.
En: They walked back, hand in hand, across the rocks, listening to the gentle song of the sea.
