Story Transcript:

Cs: Chladný podzimní vítr foukal okolo starého českého hradu.
En: The chilly autumn wind blew around the old českého hradu.

Cs: Václav a Ludmila skončili svou prohlídku.
En: Václav and Ludmila had just finished their tour.

Cs: Václav chtěl ohromit Ludmilu.
En: Václav wanted to impress Ludmila.

En: "I've heard they have a secret stash of old wine in the basement," he whispered with a glint in his eye.

Cs: Ludmila jen kývla.
En: Ludmila just nodded.

Cs: Měla ráda jeho nadšení a dobrodružného ducha.
En: She liked his enthusiasm and adventurous spirit.

Cs: Seběhli po studených kamenných schodech do sklepa.
En: They ran down the cold stone stairs to the cellar.

En: The room was small and dark, but when their eyes adjusted to the dim light, they saw shelves full of bottles.

Cs: Václav se naklonil k police a počal zkoumat etikety.
En: Václav leaned towards the shelves and began examining the labels.

Cs: "Podívej se na tohle!"
En: "Look at this!"

Cs: ukázal Ludmile jednu zvláště zaprášenou lahev.
En: he showed Ludmila one particularly dusty bottle.

Cs: Bylo na ní napsáno "rok 1929".
En: It had "year 1929" written on it.

En: Suddenly, the massive wooden door behind them slammed loudly and closed.

Cs: Ticho bylo přerušeno nervózním smíchem Ludmily.
En: The silence was broken by Ludmila's nervous laughter.

Cs: "Získali jsme neplánovanou delší prohlídku," ušklíbla se, zatímco Václav se snažil najít kliku.
En: "We've got an unplanned extended tour," she smirked, while Václav tried to find the handle.

En: Václav felt a light panic rising in him.

Cs: Ludmila ho však uklidnila svou lehkostí.
En: However, Ludmila calmed him with her light-heartedness.

Cs: "Možná tu mají telefon," navrhla.
En: "Maybe they have a phone here," she suggested.

Cs: Oni oba začali prohledávat místnost.
En: They both started to search the room.

Cs: Nakonec, v rohu za sudy, našli starý telefon.
En: Finally, in the corner behind the barrels, they found an old phone.

Cs: "Funguje to?"
En: "Does it work?"

Cs: zeptal se Václav skepticky, zatímco Ludmila zvedla sluchátko.
En: Václav asked skeptically, as Ludmila picked up the receiver.

Cs: Otočila číselnici, a telefon, k jejich překvapení, začal vrčet.
En: She turned the dial, and the phone, to their surprise, started humming.

Cs: Po několika pokusech a smíchu, kdy telefon neustále padal z ruky, se dovolali záměnou v domě.
En: After a few attempts and laughter as the phone kept slipping from her hand, they reached the exchange in the house.

Cs: "Haló?"
En: "Hello?"

Cs: ozval se zmatený hlas kastelána.
En: came the confused voice of the kastelána.

En: "We're in the cellar, we need to get out," Ludmila explained, trying not to laugh.

Cs: O několik minut později kastelán otevřel těžké dveře.
En: A few minutes later, the kastelán opened the heavy door.

Cs: Jeho úsměv naznačoval, že celé situaci rozumí.
En: His smile indicated that he understood the whole situation.

Cs: "Vy zvídaví dobrodruzi," přikývl.
En: "You curious adventurers," he nodded.

Cs: "Ne každému se podaří objevit tenhle skrytý poklad."
En: "Not everyone manages to discover this hidden treasure."

Cs: Ještě než opustili hrad, kastelán jim daroval lahev starého vína.
En: Before leaving the castle, the kastelán gifted them a bottle of old wine.

Cs: "Vaše odvaha si to zaslouží," řekl šibalsky.
En: "Your bravery deserves it," he said mischievously.

En: Outside, Václav and Ludmila stopped in the courtyard.

Cs: "Díky, že jsi mě rozesmála," řekl Václav vděčně.
En: "Thanks for making me laugh," Václav said gratefully.

Cs: "To víno si vychutnáme spolu, co říkáš?"
En: "We'll enjoy the wine together, what do you say?"

Cs: Ludmila mrkla.
En: Ludmila winked.

Cs: "Samozřejmě.
En: "Of course.

Cs: Na další dobrodružství!"
En: To the next adventure!"

En: The autumn sun peeked through the clouds, its light reflecting off their laughter, which echoed against the old stone walls of the castle.
