Story Transcript:

Cs: Santorini, nádherný ostrov v Egejském moři, září bílými budovami na modrém nebi.
En: Santorini, the beautiful island in the Aegean Sea, shines with white buildings against the blue sky.

Cs: To léto přineslo do Santorini Terezu, Jirku a Milana na dlouho očekávanou dovolenou.
En: That summer brought Tereza, Jirka, and Milan to Santorini for their long-awaited vacation.

Cs: Tereza měla velký sen.
En: Tereza had a big dream.

Cs: Chtěla překonat svůj strach z oceánu.
En: She wanted to overcome her fear of the ocean.

En: Jiří, with his meticulousness and planning, urged her to stay safe on land.

Cs: Milan, netečný a svobodný, se vrhl do neznáma bez obav.
En: Milan, indifferent and free-spirited, plunged into the unknown without fear.

Cs: Jednoho dne, zatímco seděli v malé kavárně u moře, nad obzorem se objevily temné bouřkové mraky.
En: One day, while they were sitting in a small café by the sea, dark storm clouds appeared on the horizon.

En: The wind picked up, and the swaying boats in the harbor warned of the approaching storm.

Cs: "Musíme zůstat na břehu," naléhal Jirka, studující oblaka a mapy počasí.
En: "We must stay on the shore," urged Jirka, studying the clouds and weather maps.

Cs: "Jít na moře je nebezpečné."
En: "Going out to sea is dangerous."

En: She felt fear clenching her stomach but was simultaneously drawn to the thought of the freedom the sea offered.

En: She turned to Milan, who had just finished eating his olive baguette and shrugged slightly.

Cs: "Co myslíš, Milane?"
En: "What do you think, Milane?"

Cs: zeptala se.
En: she asked.

En: "I think it's your moment," he replied with a smile.

Cs: Než si to Tereza uvědomila, stála na kraji mola a sledovala vlny.
En: Before she realized it, Tereza was standing at the edge of the pier, watching the waves.

Cs: Jiří protestoval, ale Tereza se rozhodla.
En: Jiří protested, but Tereza had made her decision.

En: She and Milan boarded a small boat rocking on the waves.

En: The wind gained strength, and the sails billowed like giant white wings.

Cs: Bouře přišla rychle.
En: The storm came quickly.

Cs: Obloha potemněla a déšť bušil do paluby.
En: The sky darkened, and rain pounded the deck.

Cs: Vlny civilizované Santorini pohltily.
En: Waves swallowed the civilized Santorini.

Cs: Tereza držela pevně provaz a cítila, jak strach ustupuje odvaze.
En: Tereza held tightly to the rope and felt her fear giving way to courage.

Cs: Milan vedle ní volal, aby se drželi, a ona ho poslechla, skloněná proti síle přírody.
En: Milan next to her shouted to hold on, and she listened, bending against the force of nature.

Cs: Najednou se vítr zpomalil.
En: Suddenly, the wind slowed.

En: The storm weakened as if it had grown tired.

Cs: Nad hlavou se znovu objevilo nebe a slunce osvítilo mokrou krajinu.
En: The sky reappeared overhead, and the sun lit up the wet landscape.

En: The boat bobbed gently on the calm waves.

Cs: Tereza, s vlasy zplihlými deštěm, se usmála.
En: Tereza, with her hair soaked from the rain, smiled.

Cs: Cítila se živější než kdy jindy.
En: She felt more alive than ever.

En: Jiří, who was waiting for them on the shore, frowned, but when he saw her newfound strength and happiness, a smile returned to his face.

Cs: "Konečně jsi to udělala, Terezko," zahlaholil Milan, a Tereza mu odpověděla pokývnutím.
En: "You finally did it, Terezko," Milan shouted, and Tereza nodded in response.

En: In the end, it was not only the fear of depth but also the transformation of friendship and understanding.

En: Santorini glowed in the setting sun, the storm had turned into a beautiful day, and Tereza knew that her vacation would be like a breath of freedom in her heart.
