En: Stalls filled the busy market in Athénách.

Cs: Slunce pálilo, ale oživilo barvy látek a vůní koření.
En: The sun was blazing, but it brought to life the colors of fabrics and the scents of spices.

Cs: Trh byl plný lidí, kteří hledali jídlo a zábavu před nadcházejícími Panathenajskými hrami.
En: The market was full of people searching for food and entertainment before the upcoming Panathenajskými games.

Cs: A přece byl ve vzduchu cítit strach.
En: Yet, fear hung in the air.

Cs: Zákeřná nemoc se šířila rychle.
En: A treacherous disease was spreading rapidly.

Cs: Lidé bojovali s kašlem a horečkami, což je mátlo a děsilo.
