Cs: Podzimní ráno pokrývalo školní dvůr teplými tóny zlata.
En: The autumn morning covered the schoolyard in warm tones of gold.

Cs: Větře šelestil suchými listy.
En: The wind rustled through the dry leaves.

Cs: Komunální vesnická škola se zdála být klidná, ale uvnitř panoval ruch.
En: The small village school seemed peaceful, but inside, there was a hustle and bustle.

Cs: První den nového semestru začal.
En: The first day of the new semester had begun.

Cs: Jana, nově příchozí studentka, stála před školou.
En: Jana, a newly arrived student, stood in front of the school.

Cs: Přivítala ji směs studené nervozity a vzrušení.
En: She was greeted by a mixture of cold nervousness and excitement.

Cs: Chtěla udělat dobrý dojem.
