The dramatic project originates from Sony Pictures Television and adapts the original Crane-Iron Pentalogy novels written by Wang Dulu. Creative leadership for the adaptation is spearheaded by Jason Ning and Ron Moore, who both serve as executive producers alongside several other industry figures. The narrative will highlight martial arts action while focusing on two central warriors caught between traditional values and modern progression.
