Born in Leipzig, Germany, Oskar Knoblauch witnessed firsthand the rise of Nazi Germany and the persecution of Jewish families. After relocating to Krakow, Poland, he endured Nazi occupation, life in the Krakow Ghetto, deportation, and forced labor, including work in the Pomorska labor camp. In this powerful Edutainment Learning interview, Oskar shares his firsthand account of surviving the Holocaust and reflects on the importance of resilience, courage, tolerance, and preserving history for future generations. His story provides students with a rare opportunity to learn directly from someone who experienced one of history's darkest chapters. This educational program is presented in partnership with Edutainment Learning, the Phoenix Holocaust Association, the Arizona Jewish Historical Society, and the Hilton Family Holocaust Education Center.
