058 - Critical Theory, Social Justice Ideology, and Christianity with Neil Shenvi and Pat Sawyer

In Episode 58 of the Bold Faith Now Podcast, Missy sits down with Neil Shenvi and Pat Sawyer, the co-authors of "Critical Dilemma: The Rise of Critical Theories and Social Justice Ideology—Implications for the Church and Society." They discuss the terms "wokeness," "critical theory," and "social justice ideology," examining their complex effects on Christ-followers and the broader culture. Neil and Patrick share their perspectives on the cultural and emotional drivers behind contemporary social justice movements, especially among Gen Z, and caution against endorsing these ideologies without a thorough biblical understanding. They also discuss the concept of collective guilt, the interconnection between theological beliefs and political stances, and the necessity for Christians to engage thoughtfully with these issues.

Tune in to gain valuable insights and practical strategies for navigating the social justice landscape as a follower of Jesus.

Remember, live boldly for Jesus, and let your light shine bright for Him!
