113 - The Courage to Obey God's Call with Jacob Weldon

What does bold faith look like when God calls you to step out before you feel ready?

In this episode of the Bold Faith Now podcast, Missy talks with author Jacob Weldon, author of The Anointed Series, a fictionalized retelling of 1 and 2 Samuel. Jacob brings a unique perspective as a Marine Corps veteran, attorney, husband, father, and writer who has spent years researching the people, places, and battles surrounding King David's life.

Through his own story and his writing, Jacob points listeners back to the power of God's Word, the importance of obedience, and the courage it takes to trust God with the outcome.

In this episode, Missy and Jacob discuss:

• How reading 1 and 2 Samuel in the Marine Corps changed Jacob's faith

• Why we should not reduce King David's life to just one battle with Goliath.

• What Jonathan's courage and humility teach us about bold faith

• How writers and believers can stay faithful to God's calling in busy seasons

God often prepares us through hidden obedience before calling us into visible courage. Bold faith means taking the next step and trusting Him with the outcome.

Remember to live boldly for Jesus and let your light shine bright for Him!
