WEEKEND:The Story Behind “Revolutionary” | Filmmaker John Oliver on Bringing History to Life (Ep 855)

Just the Truth Podcast with Joey Hudson

What does it take to turn history into a story audiences will want to see on the big screen?

Filmmaker John Oliver joins me on Word on the Street to talk about his film Revolutionary and the upcoming Tryon International Film Festival.

John takes us behind the scenes of Revolutionary—the story that inspired the project, the process of bringing it to life, and the challenges independent filmmakers face when they take an idea from the page to the screen.

We also talk about the Tryon International Film Festival and the important role festivals like this play in giving independent filmmakers an opportunity to put their work in front of audiences.

If you enjoy movies, history, independent filmmaking, or simply hearing the story behind the story, I think you’ll enjoy this conversation.
