Hagel's Hatty, Guentzel 2 Goals & Lightning 4th Straight Win | Daily Strike - October 11, 2026

The Tampa Bay Lightning are on a roll.

On today's Daily Strike, Steve Versnick recaps the Lightning's thrilling 5-3 victory over the New York Islanders, extending Tampa Bay's winning streak to four games. The night belonged to Brandon Hagel, who recorded the fourth hat trick of his NHL career and finished with four points to lead the Bolts on Long Island.

The Lightning jumped out to a 2-0 lead in the first period before the Islanders battled back to tie the game. After a back-and-forth second period, the game remained deadlocked until the final two minutes of regulation when Hagel delivered the game-winning goal before completing the hat trick with an empty-netter.
