Story Transcript:

En: The summer waves of the Chorne more danced under the scorching sun as training began at the Naval Base in Odesa.

En: White ships stood in a row, ready to set sail.

En: The sea was roaring, and it was noisy on the decks with the activity of free sailors.

En: Among them stood out Oleksandr — a devoted naval officer, whose outwardly calm appearance did not reveal his inner anxious state.

En: Oleksandr had always dreamed of becoming a sailor.

En: He loved the sea, but the feeling wasn’t always mutual.

En: Every time the ship began to sway, Oleksandr felt a stomachache, and the world started spinning.

En: Today's task was special, and he knew that aboard with him was Commander Bohdan, a person who did not forgive mistakes.

En: Oleksandr had to perform his duty brilliantly.

En: Nadya, another officer, noticed how with each wave of the sea, Oleksandr visibly paled.

En: Sweat appeared on his forehead, and he became more tense.

En: She approached him, looking concerned: " Oleksandr, you don't look well.

Uk: Що сталося?
En: What happened?"

En: "Everything is fine, Nadya," he replied, hiding his weakness.

En: "Just a little unwell.

Uk: Тільки seasickness.
En: Just seasickness."

En: Nadya knew he was trying to be strong but couldn't leave him in such a state.

En: "I know an old trick for seasickness," she said understandingly.

En: "Have you tried ginger?

Uk: У мене є трохи.
En: I have some."

En: Oleksandr thought about Bohdan, the stern commander, whose voice could be heard even from the other end of the ship.

En: He didn't want anyone to know about his weakness.

En: But the ship's rocking worsened his condition, and he realized that if he did not accept help, he could lose much more.

En: The ship swayed even more, and Oleksandr made his decision: "Alright, Nadya, let's try it.

Uk: Дякую тобі.
En: Thank you."

En: The ginger quickly took effect.

En: Slowly but surely, the waves stopped being an enemy, and Oleksandr began to regain control over his body.

En: He focused on tasks, jumping from one area to another, flawlessly carrying out his duties under the watchful eye of Bohdan.

En: When the training ended, and the ships returned to port, Oleksandr stood on the deck with a sense of relief.

En: He realized that strength is not always about being flawless but about accepting support in a timely manner from those around you.

En: Nadya approached him with a smile: "Congratulations.

En: You did excellently."

En: Oleksandr nodded, grateful not only for the rescue but also for the important lesson: being vulnerable doesn’t mean being weak.

En: It means being truly strong and genuinely human.
