En: The wide windows of the cafe on the corner of Belgrade Street in Novi Sad were flooded with summer sunshine.

En: Milan sat at a round wooden table, nervously tapping his fingers.

En: In every meeting, he tries to do what is right for his daughter, Natalija.

En: As unpleasant as it may be, this meeting with his ex-wife means everything for her.

En: A plan that would bring her stability is needed.

En: Her new teacher, Stefan, waited silently not far from the cafe.

En: Although he's there just for support, his presence is a reminder of the bright side, an earnest concern for the well-being of the little girl.

En: When Milan's ex-wife appeared, the cheeriness of the cafe was in stark contrast to her barely concealed tension.

En: They settled at the table.

En: As the conversation began, they fell into the habit of old wounds and negotiations.

En: Sometimes the sentences weren't necessarily sharp, but the pain was felt.

En: "I want the best for Natalija," Milan said, his voice quiet but determined.

En: "She needs stability."

En: "But how can that be when you always think only of yourself?"

En: his ex-wife's voice broke through.

En: Yet, she knew they were there because of Natalija.

En: Milan oscillated between the desire to resolve old disagreements and the need to find a solution.

En: The conversation got complicated for a moment.

En: But in that chaos, his love for his daughter was stronger.

Sr: Одлучио је.
En: He made a decision.

En: "I suggest Natalija stays with you one weekend, with me the next.

En: We'll share the school calendar," he said.

En: As he spoke those words, he felt a burden lift off his shoulders.

En: His proposal, this simplicity in the solution, opened a window to compromise.

En: His ex-wife hesitated for a moment but then nodded.

En: Seeing the moment filled with hope for the first time, Milan knew he had taken a step forward.

En: As the designs of the cafe's sounds returned to their rhythm and the light still shone, Milan discovered something important.

En: The decision to put Natalija's interest ahead of anger meant everything.

En: They successfully found common ground.

En: For Natalija, the smile on her face was all they both sought.

En: The world seemed a little brighter in that moment, and the future somewhat more certain.
